We are further expanding our digital presence with the virtual automatica Talk format. This interactive online event series offers additional orientational knowledge and constructive exchange during the time between trade fairs. Top-class experts, suppliers and users will shed light on current issues and trends in robotics and automation from various perspectives. The sixth edition of automatica Talk took place on May 5, 2021 . This English-language panel discussion focused on the following question:

Is AI advancing fast enough?

Artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the pivotal fields shaping the future of our society. The application of AI can enrich our everyday lives and support us in a wide variety of areas. This ‘technology of the future’ stands for progress and innovation. However, being a key trend topic of the digital age, the technology also brings about fierce international competition. The panel of experts will discuss a range of topics such as:

AI location Germany: Is the country living up to its claim of being a global leader?
Which steps must be taken in order to take charge and shape the future so as not to be left behind by international competitors?
What is going well in Germany, what additional efforts should be taken, what hidden risks can be identified?

Typical automatica visitors – from CEOs to production planning experts from the automotive, mechanical engineering, pharmaceutical, plastics, food and beverage, and other manufacturing industries.

Artificial intelligence accelerates innovation. In medicine, its promising approaches are applied to improve our ability to diagnose and treat diseases. AI is able to effectively use high-quality health data from a variety of sources. All in the spirit of personalized medicine – so that the right patient receives the right medicine at the right time. The potential of digitalization in medicine is enormous. However, its implementation is not very advanced in Germany. So there's a lot of work yet to be done!
